Pros of Learn with Sesame Street
Here are some of our favorite features and why both me and my two toddlers love this educational app for toddlers:
- There are absolutely NO ADS! It is my favorite thing about this app. I don’t have to worry about my kids while they are using their tablets.
- It teaches all about emotions, empathy, how to share, and everything you want to teach your child, in a fun, calming way.
I was so impressed because right after my 5 year old watched the video about taking turns, she shared with her brother better than ever before, just from watching it once! - There is a mix of games, videos, songs, and stories to keep each child entertained. There are times when they just watch the videos or just play the games, depending on their mood. They don’t have to switch between apps, since it does it all!
- We love the one time fee. I don’t care for subscriptions, so I feel so much better that I only had to pay once and have access forever.

- I love how it is all focused on social-emotional learning, which is what kids need at that age. It is not just a random game with no purpose, it’s fun and educational at the same time!
- There are resources for BOTH the parents and the kids. I love that this one resource takes care of everyone and you don’t have to pay for two different things. They go along together perfectly.
- If you don’t love it, it is backed by a 30-day guarantee, which I also love to see.
Cons of Learn with Sesame Street
There are a few cons that I found with Learn with Sesame Street that I do want to mention:
- You have to keep the Wi-Fi on while using the app. I prefer to do airplane mode with my kids, in case they accidently exit the app, so that was a bit of a bummer. It also means we couldn’t use the app while on a road trip either.
- As of right now, there are more videos than games. This was a bit harder for my younger toddler. But, surprisingly, my older toddler loves the videos more than the actual games!
- Some of the games take a while to explain, which frustrated my kids. They figured out what to do and didn’t like waiting until they finished talking. But, I think that will just help them to learn patience, right!
- There was a bit of glitching and games wouldn’t fully load at times, but it wasn’t major.

Is Learn with Sesame Street Worth It?
I found it incredibly worth it to get the Learn with Sesame Street app for my toddlers. I was so impressed at how long they continue to stay interested in each and every time they use their tablets.
I love that they continue to choose this educational app over the other ones we have on their tablets.
I especially love at how their social-emotional learning has greatly improved! My toddlers share, take turns, and try to talk through their emotions more than before we started using the app.
If you don’t mind paying a one-time fee and want an app that will teach your kids all about emotions, empathy, and kindness, you will love the Learn with Sesame Street app!
