How To Make Handprint Giraffe Craft
You can chose to work with my provided template and save time so that your toddler doesn’t lose focus. Be sure to jut use their handprint instead of the one in the template!
Select a piece of yellow craft paper.
Help your toddler place their hand on the paper, fingers spread wide, and trace around it. You’ll need one handprint for each giraffe. Once traced, cut out the handprints.
Download and print the template. The template includes patterns for the head, antenna, lower part of the face and tail tuft and a handprint layout (for the body base).
Trace the patterns on the selected craft papers and cut out the patterns.
Take the head and lower face pattern. Attach the face pattern on the bottom part of the head cutout.
Attach the head pattern on the top (any one end) end of the neck cutout.
Attach the open end of the neck part with the handprint, on the middle part of the palm’s side of the hand.
Glue the antenna cutouts on the top side of the head part and attach the tail tuft on the tip of the thumb part of the hand layout.
Use a brown sharpie, marker or crayon to draw the giraffe’s spots on its neck and handprint. Fill the tips of the 4 other fingers to make the hoof of the paper giraffe.
Let your toddler use black sharpie or marker to draw a happy face on the giraffe’s face for the mouth-line.
Use pink sharpie to draw the inner parts of the ears.
Attach 2 googly eyes along the top part of the head pattern.
Add more details to the handprint giraffe craft and personalize it as you want to.
